This place is a gem, I know there aren’t many Airbnb options in the Grass Valley/Nevada City area so if you’re looking around, save yourself a click or two and just book it. The house itself is huge, the property is even larger, and it has a hot tub. A quick drive to GV and easy access to all that the NC/GV area has to offer.

We had a wonderful stay at the Gnome Hatchery and it truly exceeded our expectations. It was perfect for our two families, with one staying in the front of the house and one in the back. The setup gave us a great balance of togetherness and space. The kids loved the trampoline and giant swing out front, and the large game closet was such a hit. There were Legos, games for all ages, and even puzzles for the littles, which made the home feel especially thoughtful and family-friendly. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans, seasonings, coffee, olive oil, and other basics that made cooking easy. We did have a brief PG&E outage, but Melissa was fantastic about keeping us updated, even though it was out of her control. Such a peaceful, charming property. We are looking forward to returning in the summer.

My husband had an emergency work call so we had to find a place really quick to stay. Melissa responded very quickly & was very helpful. Her home is very welcoming! I booked this house for a work trip and really enjoyed coming home in the evenings to such a warm and comfortable house. It's a great kitchen to cook in and the jacuzzi was a nice plus in the early mornings. The host had helpful tips for local grocery stores and was very responsive. Altho I was there for work, it was nice to have room for everyone but enough space that we weren't overlapping in any area of the house unless we wanted to be. It would be a great place to have a family get together and must be wonderful in the summertime! Definitely will book again!

What a perfect place to bring the family together! Plenty of activities inside and out! Our Grandgirls loved the trampoline and swing the best. The inside is warm and comfortable with plenty of games and books. We watched the Super Bowl from a huge TV and cooked up delicious food. The house is well stocked and Melissa is a wonderful host. We had a great hike, perfect for kids and loved Visiting Nevada City and Grass Valley. Lots of Beauty and history here. Would love to come back!
